NOVAE – An aestethic vision of a supernova from Thomas Vanz on Vimeo.

It took four tons of gear — including suits with 3000+ LED lights — and 10.5 months to create what just might be the most spectacular display of free skiing of all time.

The Gloaming

1:1 – In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
1:2 – And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
1:3 – And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
1:4 – And God saw the light, and it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

Of course, there shouldn’t be any short movie collection without Bagiński’s Katedra.

Trevor Sands brilliantly directed this movie starring Jeremy Sisto, probably best known for playing Billy Chenowith on Alan Ball’s Six Feet Under. Inside is a riveting story about a man with multiple personalities whose incarceration in an asylum is up for review.

This is a short movie by Kurt Kuenne, an amazing fable about the magic of free parking. 🙂

OFFF Barcelona 2011 Main Titles

Another amazing short, showcasing the titles participating in the OFFF Barcelona 2011 festival. It’s in itself a masterpiece, with a flavor of Half Life 2 universe, and surpassing by far many of the SF movies I’ve seen lately.

Today I’m launching another category here, as lately I’ve been collecting lots of amazing short movies and I think it’s a good thing to have them collected here. I think Ark by director Grzegorz Jonkajtys is a good one to start with. Enjoy!
